My son's first visit to the temple

Saturday morning we all got up (starting at 4 am!!) to be ready to leave the house before 6 am!! in order to make it to the temple for 9 am sessions. Can you believe we're crazy enough to do that?!? It was all worth it, of course, because we were all able to be at the temple together! My youngest waited in the waiting room for an hour and a half and was such a good sport about it! I was actually there with her for the last half hour, so that was helpful!

After our sleep-deprived adventures at the temple we went to the Como Zoo in St. Paul. The kids had no idea we were stopping there, so it was a fun surprise! (Of course, my oldest daughter wasn't very amused - she likes to be prepared for things, and was bummed that she didn't have her camera, sunglasses, and more comfortable shoes!) I think she takes after her mother in that regard - I hate surprises!

We had a fun time checking out all the animals, and saw some amazingly beautiful flowers and gardens as well. We were all excited to get home, however! The kids were all asleep by 7:30, and the grown-ups well before 10!
