My oldest is currently in St. Paul at the State Science Fair. She gets to spend 3 days/2 nights in a posh hotel with kids from all around the state. They have an amazing amount of activities planned, and I'm sure she'll have a blast. It's just so weird to have her out there doing this type of things without me! She will grow a ton from the experience, and will be just a little bit more sure of herself by the time she returns. It's hard to believe that in less than a year she'll have her learner's permit, and then it's all downhill from there! It's reassuring to know that she's a bright kid with more common sense than I had by the time I was 30. Now if I can just remember to feed her fish and cats... :)
